"The Magnificent Seven" trailer is out: warning for brutality

Renowned American director and Denzel Washington film partner Antoine Fuqua once again convinced the award-winning actor to do a film, but this time, it will be a remake of the Western-cowboy film "The Magnificent Seven. The 1960 classic highlighted by a lot of gun slinging and totting is something that is pretty difficult to emulate, but Fuqua has in his disposal a bunch of high quality Hollywood actors, which may also be the reason why Washington was convinced to get onboard.

The remake recently unveiled its first trailer, and it looks very good, albeit the inherent gun violence to a film of this type. Washington will play lead role along with fellow star Chris Pratt. Both will be part of the "Seven," with the rest of the cast also distinguished actors themselves, including Vincent D'Onofrio, Korean film star Byung-hun Lee, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Martin Sensmeier, and Ethan Hawke.

The film is about a group of guys who decide to protect Rose Creek, a village that was earlier attacked by a group of thieves. According to USA Today, the motion picture is actually largely based on Akira Kurosawa's work called the "Seven Samurai."

Fuqua is no stranger working with the Academy Award winning actor, having paired up in the critically-acclaimed cop movie "Training Day." But the director had to be extra creative in convincing Washington to be part of the film, considering that he hasn't been in a Western flick before. Fuqua knew he had to bring star power to the remake since the first one was made up of a cast that's literally impossible to surpass, including Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson, and Yul Brynner playing the lead role.

The remake is scheduled to be released in theaters on September 23, where it is set to compete with other blockbusters in a busy season in film.
