'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' Season 8, Episode 10 Recap: Mama Joyce Intervenes Between Phaedra and Kandi

Phaedra Parks and Kandi Burruss have called their friendship off in season 6 of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," and on Sunday's episode, Mama Joyce had to do something to keep the fire down.

While a lot of fans speculated that Mama Joyce's intervention would most likely bring about bigger trouble, it somehow turned out fine for the cast.

Fans very well know that the issue started when Kandi's husband, Todd Tucker, didn't get the money he worked for. Todd worked on Phaedra's prenatal workout DVD and the latter didn't see things eye to eye with the production service provider, thus leading to the fallout of her friendship with Kandi.

Mama Joyce, on the other hand, is known for always coming to her daughter's rescue whenever she thinks her intervention is needed. At first, it seemed as if she was in it for a big fight when she confronted Phaedra. However, she looked calm and simply explained her side to Phaedra.

The elderly said she just wants everything to work out well for Kandi, especially for her baby on the way. "With this pregnancy, because it's kind of a high risk, I just don't want her to get stressed out or be emotionally unbalanced about anything," Mama Joyce said.

The episode ended without any cat fights and without the need to call cops or anything. Todd and Phaedra sat down and ended the long-running feud, which also meant that Kandi's friendship with Phaedra can now start to be restored.

Aside from the unexpected moment that Mama Joyce brought to the small screens, Kenya Moore's attempt to reunite with her mother was probably the most-anticipated part of the episode. A lot of fans felt sad for Kenya since she wasn't able to even get a glimpse of her mom. On the other hand, the mother's move can also be justified by the fact that she's not a reality star and she probably isn't ready to dish all the drama for the whole world to see.

It is unclear if Kenya will once again try to resolve the issues between her and her mom, but fans are speculating that she might go for another try.

"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" airs every Sunday at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
