'The Walking Dead' Season 6 News, Spoilers: Finale Will 'Melt The Internet,' EP Says
If its cast and crew are to be believed, this weekend's much-anticipated and much-hyped "The Walking Dead" season 6 finale will be one for the books.
The latest insider comment about the season 6 ender comes from "TWD" executive producer David Alpert, who recently told Access Hollywood that the episode is sure to "melt the Internet."
"I am so excited to see the horrified faces on all my co-workers when I walk into the office Monday morning, because people are going to be losing their minds," the "TWD" boss said. "This weekend's episode is going to melt the internet."

When asked how "TWD" fans should prepare for the finale, Alpert said, "I suggest diapers and tissues."
The much-talked-about season 6 finale is notable for two major events: 1) the introduction of new uber-villain Negan, played by "The Good Wife" actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and 2) the death of a fan favorite character, roundly presumed to be either Glenn (Steven Yeun) or Daryl (Norman Reedus).
Negan, the leader of the Saviors, has been referred to multiple times in the back half of season 6, but viewers will get to see the man wield his infamous baseball bat Lucille for the first time when the finale airs Sunday night. The new baddie's arrival has been relentlessly teased in the last several months, with various "The Walking Dead" cast and crew members saying that Morgan is perfect for the role and that his introduction will have an unprecedented impact on the show.
"TWD" star Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick Grimes, recently jumped on the season 6 finale hype train, telling Entertainment Weekly that people should "get ready" for the episode.
"I read the script and I went, 'This is the greatest entrance ever written,'" the actor told EW.
Lincoln also said that "Walking Dead" fans who have been waiting years for Negan to show up will not be disappointed by the villain's entrance. "Everybody needs a hero, but I think they probably need a really good baddie even more," the actor explained.
"It's an incredibly brilliant and well constructed and tense final episode," he teased. "It's really dark, man. It's really dark."
The season 6 finale of "The Walking Dead" airs this Sunday, April 3, at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
