'The Walking Dead' Season 6 Spoilers: Series To Introduce New Characters Negan and Jesus

"The Walking Dead" season 6 has not returned to the small screen for its midseason yet but many fans are already looking forward to meeting the new characters who the show will be adding once it returns. According to International Business Times, the hit zombie apocalypse series will be introducing Negan, who will be played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Jesus, who will be played by Tom Payne.

Vine Report detailed that Negan is known to be leading a group called Saviors. This group is said to be "dangerously organized" and is far different from the other group that Rick (Andrew Lincoln) has crossed paths with in the past. Rick and the gang will be having a very difficult time with Negan around as he will be tormenting the survivors badly.

Comic book creator and TV executive producer Robert Kirkman also revealed to Entertainment Weekly that Negan will be like an "atomic bomb" to the show.

"As far as shake-ups go, we have lots of shake-ups from season to season," says Kirkman. "It keeps things interesting — keeps the blood pumping, I like to say — but Negan is kind of an atomic bomb that's going to be dropped on the show and the show will probably never be the same after that. So buckle up, I guess?" he adds.

Meanwhile, Jesus is a character who Kirkman describes as "bada**" and a "fun character" to write in the comics. He is also "smart," "quick," and "very athletic." He possesses exceptional fighting skills and is known as a key member of the Hilltop Colony. As detailed in iDigital Times, Jesus will be one of Rick's greatest allies. He will be very helpful especially with Negan in the picture.

More of who the new characters are will be revealed when "Walking Dead" season 6B returns on Feb. 14 on AMC.
