Tiger Woods Earns 8th Win at Bridgestone Invitational

Tiger Woods took home his 8th victory at Bridgestone Invitational in Akron Ohio over the weekend.

Woods provided some insight into his strategy for the windy tournament.

"As blustery as it was, it was going to be really hard for someone to shoot 62 or 63," Woods said. "If I didn't give any shots away and played my game and shot even par or better, I'd force these guys to go and shoot something super low on a golf course that wasn't going to give it up under these conditions," Woods told Fox News.

Though Tiger Woods has won the Bridgestone invitational seven times previously, he was still excited about his performance and victory.

"The total body of work is pretty good," Woods said. "One of the things I'm proud of, obviously, is how many times I've won, plus won World Golf Championships and how many years I've won five or more tournaments in a season. What is it, like eight or nine times? 10? That's not bad, either."

Also making this Bridgestone Invitation special was the crowd, as Woods's 4-year-old son watched his father take home a W for the first time.

"This is the first win he's ever been at. That's what makes it special for both of us," Woods said of his son Charlie to NPR.

Last year's winner Keegan Bradley took second place, tying with Henrick Stenson for the no. 2 spot. Bradley had only kind words for Woods after his defeat.

"It's difficult because I really want to get up there and contend with him. But he's just ... this week he's playing really well," Bradley said.
