Tim Tebow Dancing With the Stars, Says J.R. Martinez
As the new season of "Dancing With the Stars" nears, people have turned to the rumor mills in an attempt to speculate who the new stars of the show will be. The most recent rumored is none other than Tim Tebow.
Tim Tebow, who has garnered a reputation as a wholesome, Christian football player with skill that surpasses his rookie status, has been rumored to have a new desire to dance. Tebow would be a good future candidate, said "Dancing With the Stars" champion J.R. Martinez.
"I actually did come across Tim Tebow, and we chatted about [Dancing With the Stars] for a second. I thought he'd do pretty well on the show!" Martinez told Celebuzz.

Even Karina Smirnoff was anxious to have Tim Tebow join her as a dance partner.
"All I want for my birthday is for Tim Tebow to dance on Dancing with the Stars," she told People. "He can run, jump, pass, throw touchdowns. All [that] is missing is to see if he has the dance skills. That would make him an all around athlete and someone that I would love to dance with on the show."
Unfortunately, Tebow fans who have an interest in watching the rookie quarterback try on his dancing shoes will have to wait. Although Tebow might have expressed an interest in trying the show, it won't be happening this season.
"He said, 'Maybe in a year' … That's pretty much what he said," Martinez recounted.
Tebow may actually have a decent shot on the show, however, considering that celebrity athletes tend to do better. According to the Wall Street Journal, athletes on the show have a 36 percent success rate, coming in first place over singers and musicians, who had only a 27 percent success rate.
"Dancing With the Stars" will be entering its 14th season this March.
