Tim Tebow Ridiculed for Faith After Peyton Manning Broncos Trade

After the Denver Broncos signed a deal with veteran quarterback Peyton Manning, many suggested that Tim Tebow would be left out in the dust, and now instead of being backed by fans the rookie quarterback is being ridiculed in some quarters for his faith.

Rumors suggesting that Tebow would be transferred following the Broncos welcoming Manning have been rife.

"On the day the Denver Broncos celebrated the arrival of Peyton Manning, all the action photos of Tim Tebow that once graced the hallways at the team facility were gone," the Chicago Sun Times reported.

Executive John Elway announced during the press conference which presented Manning as a Bronco, that he would explore all of his options with Tim Tebow.

"Tim Tebow is a great kid. If I want someone to marry my daughter, it would be him," Elway said. "But I think with the opportunity to have Peyton Manning's services, we had to take advantage of that. Now that it's happened, we have to go back and address Tim and see what the best situation is for the Denver Broncos, as well as him."

Some might think the harsh response would be a shock to fans who supported Tebow during what many considered to be a successful season. However if the Broncos have been called out as traders, Tebow's loyal fans also appeared to be not so loyal after all.

Instead of backing the quarterback, many fans on Twitter took to making fun of Tebow's faith.

"God is dead and Peyton killed him," Bethlehem Shoals wrote on Twitter Monday.

"John Elway will do everything in his power to trade Tebow to Sodom," Drew Magary joked.

"Elway, why hast thou forsaken me? Tebow, 3:19" the user netw3rk 3 commented.

The latest rumors have suggested that Tebow may be headed for the Jacksonville Jaguars or the New York Jets next.

Tebow himself has remained completely silent on Twitter since rumors about the Colt's dropping Manning first surfaced two weeks ago. Elway reported that Tebow had taken the news about being traded well.

"He's said, 'Well, we're talking about Peyton Manning. I understand exactly what you're doing,'" Elway relayed. "He was very, very positive."

Manning also threw his support behind Tebow. "I know what kind of player Tim Tebow is, what kind of person he is," Manning said. "What an awesome year he had this year. If Tim Tebow is here next year, I'm going to be the best teammate I can be to him. He and I are going to help this team win games.
