Timberlake on SNL: Pokes Fun at Hugo Chavez, Elton John, 'The Bachelorette' (VIDEO)
Justin Timberlake made his fifth appearance on "Saturday Night Live" this weekend, joining what has been pegged as the "Five Timers Club."
Timberlake went in to his fifth SNL debut with an understanding that expectations would be high.
"There are so many exciting things about hosting five times," Timberlake said during his monologue. "You get to see old friends, you get to try new things. You get to inevitably let everyone down due to incredibly high expectations - thanks, Internet."

But overall, his appearance appeared to be a success amongst internet users.
"Justin Timberlake has that easy, never forced, charisma that keeps you from looking away," one Internet user wrote on a Huffington Post blog.
"It was great episode,congrats SNL," another user prompted.
Timberlake opened the show on Saturday night by beginning with an Elton John impersonation.
"You lived your life like a candle in the wind... if a candle could pull out two pistols at a press conference," Timberlake sang. "You said the U.S. causes earthquakes and you outlawed Coke Zero. And on your shoulder stood your parrot with a matching red beret. ... You helped to make a country the kidnapping capital of the world. ... You were hero to your people and you never gave up a fight. We'll Miss you Hugo Chavez, because Live from New York, it's Saturday Night!"
Some criticized Timberlake for joking about the death of Chavez. A "slow start" Entertainment Weekly noted. The actor and former N'Sync member then went in to a nearly nine minute monologue about his entry into the "Five Timers Club." The skit included Steve Martin, Alec Baldwin, and Tom Hanks.
A second skit titled "It's a Date" revolved around two groups trying to win a date with the "Bachelorette." Timberlake also performed with surprise guest, Jay-Z, singing the duo's latest song, "Suit and Tie."
