Top 6 moments from the Al Smith Dinner with Trump
Jim Gaffigan torches Kamala Harris, Democratic Party
Comedian and emcee Jim Gaffigan, who is Catholic, offered scathing jokes against Harris and the Democratic Party, prompting some on social media to claim he conducted the "murder of an entire political party," as noted by the New York Post.
"You know, this event has been referred to as the Catholic Met Gala," said Gaffigan. "Twenty-two percent of Americans identify as Catholic. Catholics will be a key demographic in every battleground state. I’m sorry, why is Vice President Harris not here?"

Gaffigan went on to mock Harris for missing an opportunity to speak to a friendly and important audience, especially after her recent media blitz with Howard Stern and a podcast typically about sexual topics.
"I mean, consider this, this is a room full of Catholics and Jews in New York City. This is a layup for the Democratic nominee," Gaffigan said.
"In her defense, I mean she did find time to appear on 'The View,' Howard Stern, Colbert, and the longtime staple of campaigning, the 'Call Her Daddy' podcast," he added.
Gaffigan also mocked Democrats for calling Trump an existential threat to democracy despite ousting their own incumbent president without input from voters.
"The Democrats have been telling us Trump's reelection is a threat to democracy," he said. "In fact, they were so concerned of this threat, they staged a coup, ousted their democratically elected incumbent, and installed Kamala Harris."

"In other words, all her dreams have come true. It really makes me consider the power of prayer, right Cardinal? Sometimes prayers take three-and-half years and a George Clooney op-ed."
