'Godspeed': Billionaires Jeff Bezos and Mark Cuban

Billionaires Jeff Bezos and Mark Cuban, both of whom made headlines for statements during this election cycle, congratulated Trump.

"Big congratulations to our 45th and now 47th President on an extraordinary political comeback and decisive victory," Bezos tweeted. "No nation has bigger opportunities. Wishing @realDonaldTrump all success in leading and uniting the America we all love."

Bezos, who has owned The Washington Post since 2013, faced internal backlash at the media outlet in recent weeks for refusing to allow the newspaper to endorse a presidential candidate.

Despite resignations from disgruntled staffers who support Harris, Bezos defended the move, noting in an op-ed that newspaper endorsements "do nothing to tip the scales of an election" and serve only "to create a perception of bias."

Cuban, who backed Harris, conceded that Trump won and congratulated fellow billionaire Elon Musk in a short post on X.

"Congrats @realDonaldTrump. You won fair and square. Congrats to @elonmusk as well," he wrote, adding, "Godspeed."

Cuban took flak for claiming during an appearance on "The View" last week that Trump does not surround himself with "strong, intelligent women," as noted by the New York Post.
