5 things to know about Trump rally shooter, his family and high school
Education and job
A school official told the Times that Crooks graduated from the Community College of Allegheny County with an associate degree in engineering science two months ago.
Prior to the shooting, Crooks worked as a dietary aide at Bethel Park Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
The facility’s administrator, Marcie Grimm, expressed shock at the news, describing Crooks as someone who “performed his job without concern and his background check was clean.”
One of Crooks’ colleagues at the nursing home, who asked to remain anonymous, told CNN this week that Crooks never expressed any political views at work, saying that he wasn’t a “radical.”
“It’s hard seeing everything that’s going on online because he was a really, really good person that did a really bad thing, and I just wish I knew why,” the shooter’s former colleague said.
