'Blindspot' Season 1 Episode 16 Spoilers: The Hunt for the FBI Mole Continues
NBC's hit crime fighting drama TV series "Blindspot" Season 1 continues this week with a brand new episode that will see Agent Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) and his team investigating a roadway robbery heist. Meanwhile, the hunt for the mole inside the bureau continues.
Spoiler report for those who missed the previous episode, Fischer convinced everyone that Jane (Jaime Alexander), Tasha (Audrey Esparza) or Mayfair (Marianne Jean-Baptiste) could be the mole within the government enforcement agency.
As it turns out, Fischer had just made up the story all along to pinpoint Jane. In "Older Cutthroat Canyon/To Contact Your Handler," meanwhile, Kurt & Co. were almost wiped out by a man named Keith. The latter was revealed to be after the amnesiac agent whom he worked with in the past when Jane still has her memory.
The sudden turn of events eventually made Tasha cross out Jane's name in her suspicion list. This further means that the person in question is still one of her colleagues.
"The audience will be surprised as to where Tasha's suspicions shift," Esparza told TVGuide in an interview. "There is definitely more digging, more prying, more questions that have arisen because of this, but her focus is not Jane."
Could there be a possibility that it's really Mayfair who ratted them all out? Or could it be that Esparza's character is the real culprit?
Regardless of which, the promo video for the upcoming episode titled "Any Wounded Thief" follows the squad tracking down a highway robbery case which saw the death of an armored truck driver. The vehicle, as it turns out, contains chemical weapons which, if taken into the wrong hands, could certainly bring disaster to a lot of people.
Once again, Kurt and Jane's lives will be placed in utter danger when at one point in the clip, they were held off by a man who holds a bomb in his hand.
Find out how these events unfold when "Blindspot" Season 1 Episode 16 premieres this Monday, Apr. 4 at 10 p.m. on NBC.
