USA Olympic Swimming Trials 2016 - Schedule for Sunday July 3: 1,500 and 50-Meter Free Style Events, TV Info and Live Stream
For the last day of the USA Swimming trials on Sunday, it will be a race for the women's 50-meter freestyle and the men's 1,500-meter freestyle.
Who will swim on Sunday?
Though Michael Phelps, Katie Ledecky and Maya Dirado are already through to the Rio Olympics this August, more swimmers are hoping to join them in the national team, Bleacher Report noted. Semifinals winner Abbey Weitzeil is hoping to secure the top spot in the 50-meter freestyle for women.
Weitzeil is facing tough competition from veteran Dana Vollmer. The 28-year-old is hoping to win the event as she targets to head to another Olympic competition in her career. Other swimming veterans like Amanda Weir and Madison Kennedy will also compete for the finals event on Sunday.
Connor Jaeger hoping for a strong finish
On the other hand, 25-year-old Connor Jaeger will be competing for the men's 1,500-meter freestyle event. Bleacher Report mentioned that Jaeger is already through to the Rio Games for the 400-meter freestyle but his strength reportedly lies on the 1,500-meter freestyle.
The swimmer previously made headlines during the 2012 Olympic trials when he went beyond the 1,500-meter lap but still continued swimming.
"I prefer to just get into a rhythm and go, so it's easy to lose track of where I am in the race," he explained after the competition. "Why I had to miscount in the most important race of my life (at the time) is a mystery."
How can I watch?
Below is the complete schedule of Sunday's trials as per SB Nation:
Men's Events: 1,500-meter freestyle (finals)
Women's Events: 50-meter freestyle (finals)
Time: 7 p.m. ET
It can be viewed live via NBC and with live streaming through NBC Sports.

Who are the other qualifiers?
SB Nation said Phelps qualified for three events —100- and 200-meter butterfly and the 200-meter individual medley. Fellow male swimmer Ryan Lochte was not as lucky as he had to endure a groin muscle injury since the early part of the swimming trials. He will move on to the Olympics for the 200-meter individual medley.
Missy Franklin, on the other hand, qualified for the 200-meter freestyle while young swimmer Ledecky dominated a number of events like the 200- and 400-meter freestyle.
