Vanilla Ice Tells Justin Bieber to Take Miley Cyrus' Advice

Vanilla Ice sided with Miley Cyrus when it came to Justin Bieber, according to recent statements from the former rapping star.

Also known as Rob Van Winkle, Vanilla Ice chimed in on Cyrus' recent interview with Rolling Stones where she discussed Bieber.

During the now-infamous interview, Cyrus explained to the magazine that she was something of a mentor for Bieber and that she had already "transitioned" before she mentioned Vanilla Ice.

"He's trying [to transition] really hard. People don't take him seriously, but he really can play the drums, he really can play guitar, he really can sing," said Cyrus, according to Rolling Stone.

"I just don't want to see him f--- that up, to where people think he's Vanilla Ice," she added.

The 20-year-old singer cited Vanilla Ice because of his short-lived rapping career that ended with unfortunate business arrangements and damage to his image.

In response to Cyrus's mention, Vanilla Ice posted a supportive photo to Twitter with "Miley Cyrus" written across the bottoms of both of his feet- an imitation of Cyrus' recent post of a "Rolling Stone" tattoo on her own two feet.

Then, the "Ice Ice Baby" rapper went on to back Cyrus' advice to Bieber.

"It's like living an artificial life," Van Winkle told TMZ Live, adding: "When the dust settles, no one can figure it out or help you but yourself."

Meanwhile, during her interview with Rolling Stone, Cyrus noted more words for Bieber.

"I tell him that, like, 'You don't want to become a joke. When you do out, don't start sh--, don't come in shirtless,'" said the singer.

The interview was not the first time Cyrus had addressed Bieber's recent behavior. She recently blasted Bieber for doing "dumb stuff," citing the video footage of the "Baby" singer urinating into a mop in the back of a restaurant and cursing Bill Clinton.

"He's still stupid though," said Cyrus speaking to Britain's The Sun. "But everyone does dumb stuff when they are messed up, and he's done dumb stuff. If it was your friend p---ing into a mop box then you would be laughing, but because it's Justin Bieber, then it's really bad."

Bieber later apologized for the unsavory video footage.
