Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich Confirmed for Verizon Devices
Verizon recently announced the devices on its network that will receive the update for Ice Cream Sandwich.
Most of the smartphones and tablets that appeared on the list were not that big of a surprise since some of them have been expected to receive the update for quite some time now.
The list goes as follows: for HTC devices on Verizon, Ice Cream Sandwich will be coming to the ThunderBolt, the Droid Incredible 2, the HTC Rhyme and the HTC Rezound.

For Motorola devices, the Xoom, Droid Bionic, Droid RAZR, RAZR Maxx, Droid 4, Xyboard 8.2 and Xyboard 10.1 will all be receiving the Android 4.0 update.
The Droid RAZR line was one of the first to be announced after Ice Cream Sandwich was officially launched on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus back in November.
For Samsung devices, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 7.7 will be making the jump to ICS. And for LG, the Spectrum will be receiving the software in the near future.
Unfortunately the carrier did not give out any information on when the upgrades would begin to roll out.
The process of preparing the software for other devices appears to be quite long since ICS launched nearly 4 months ago and is not available on many devices as of this month.
The Samsung Galaxy S2 is rumored to be receiving Android 4.0 on March 15, according to a recent post on Samsung's Israel Facebook page. That device is available on every major carrier in the U.S. aside from Verizon who carries the flagship ICS device, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
The successor to the Galaxy S2 is also rumored to be coming by the end of the first half of 2012 and that is sure to have ICS pre-installed in it when it launches.
