What Apple Fans Should Expect to See at iPad 3 Unveiling

Apple began sending invitations out earlier this week for what will be the official unveiling of the company's next generation tablet, the iPad 3.

Rumors have been flooding the tech world for the past few months regarding specifications on device with some being backed up, and others being plain ridiculous.

Here are some of the more believable rumored features to be expected from the iPad 3.

4G LTE Connectivity

If Apple were to release another 3G device it would simply keep them too far behind the curve. Other tablet manufacturers such as Samsung with its Galaxy line have already gone the 4G LTE route making internet surfing on the device lightning fast. Apple needs to join the pack or else it will just slip too far behind in terms of speed. The iPad 3 should be the company's first official 4G LTE device.

Siri

Siri, the famed artificial intelligence system that made its debut on the iPhone 4S is expected to be included in the iPad 3. This version of it should be more impressive since the Siri included in the 4S is only a beta version.

A6 Quad-Core Chip

The rumored A6 quad-core chip should give Apple's tablet a significant boost in speed setting it far ahead of the competition. There is the possibility of the company going with an updated version of the A5 chip currently included in the iPad 2. However, quad-core processing speeds would once again solidify Apple's place as the market's leader.

Retina Display

The iPad 3's updated Retina Display was one of the first rumors to surface last year. The new iPad is expected to include a 9.7-inch screen with a resolution of 2048x1536 pixels. This device will double the resolution of the iPad 2, making it the best screen to be released on any electronic device to date.
