Whitney Houston: Fight with X Factor's Stacy Francis Clue to Stars Emotional State

Days before she died, Whitney Houston lost control when she saw "X Factor" star Stacy Francis talking to her boyfriend Ray J, at a pre-Grammy party, according to RadarOnline.

At the Tru Nightclub party in Hollywood Thursday night, the late star reportedly flew off the rails when she saw them talking, screaming "This is my man! I'm a cougar! *****, get away from my man!"

The night came to an end with Houston who had reportedly been heavily drinking tequila all night, angrily pushed Francis. "The X Factor" star responded by pushing her back.

Photographers captured Houston leaving the club looking disheveled and disoriented, with what appears to be sweat running down her face and blood dripping down her leg.

The singer was found dead two days later in the bath tub of her Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel room where she had been staying for the party. According to website TMZ, bottles of prescription pills including Xanax, an anti-anxiety drug, the pain killer ibuprofen, Midol, and amoxicillin, were found in her room.

Her drunken, reckless and violent behavior would appear to be evidence Houston was on a fast downward spiral.

Francis, a 2011 "X Factor" USA finalist who was mentored by Simon Cowell, expressed her complete remorse over the situation after hearing of Houston's death, tweeting:

"This is a sad time for me. I loved Whitney Houston with all my heart. She was such an amazing musical influence for me."

"I deeply regret the events that led to Thursday's misunderstanding, but I respect and love her more than I can say...Whitney maintained a genuineness in this difficult profession and I will always admire and respect the courage that she lived."

"At this painful time, I would like to express my support and most sincere condolences to Whitney's family in learning of her sudden death...I will always remember her to be a deeply humane person and wish her spirit to rest in peace."

Houston's funeral is set to take place in Newark, N.J., Feb. 18.
