Why I Don't Want My Daughter to Be Hillary Clinton

But, the brand of feminism Hillary supports upholds careerism as the highest good — and encourages mothers to sacrifice their own progeny on this idolatrous altar. To Hillary, the number-one thing women want is unfettered freedom to pursue their careers. So, she boldly advances government-subsidized childcare, equal pay, and abortion throughout all nine months.

This feminist agenda was quite evident in last week's Democractic National Convention. Though prior conventions have referred to abortion euphemistically, this last one actually celebrated it. It featured Ilyse Hogue, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America, shouting her abortion to the applause and cheers of the audience. "To succeed in life, all we need are the tools . . ." Hogue asserted. And, what are those tools? — Abortion on demand, so we, like her, can kill our unborn children when we find ourselves pregnant at the "wrong time." Similarly, Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood, gushed at a convention party about the joys of "being on a stage where we can now talk openly about how abortion is a right."

We've come a long way baby. Every year, we kill more than one-million of our unborn babies. More than 60% of our children under five are in childcare. But, to feminists like Hillary, it's all good because women now earn 76% of a man's median salary, as opposed to 59% 40 years ago.

But, it's not good — not for us and not for our daughters. Two leading, American economists have been tracking women's happiness over the past several decades. And, what they've found is that as we women have won all these supposed gains, our happiness has actually dropped. In the 70s, women actually rated their overall life satisfaction higher than men. But since then, our happiness scores have declined, while men's scores have stayed about the same. Now, we are actually less happy than our male counterparts.

Contrary to Hillary's assertions, the most important thing to women is not getting the corner office — or the Oval Office. There's a reason the Apostle Paul urged women to love their husbands and children, and to manage their homes. It's because, as politically incorrect as it may sound, what the majority of women want most is what God designed them to want — a healthy family, and the support of their husbands, so they can love and nurture their own children.

Hillary Clinton belittles stay-at-home mothers, once quipping that instead of pursuing a career, "I suppose I could have stayed home, baked cookies and had teas." This is a woman who knows nothing of healthy femininity nor the importance of motherhood, and will do nothing to promote it. She will simply continue to claw her way to the top, victimize those who oppose her, and advance policies that weaken the family.

So, if we truly care about the next generation of women, we should oppose Hillary Clinton, not support her. A Hillary presidency will not help our daughters; her example will poison their view of womanhood and lead them to a bleaker, not brighter, tomorrow.
