Willow Smith Causes Speculation About Mother Missing 2pac, Actress Says She And Will Can Overcome Anything

Willow Smith, 11-year-old singer and daughter of entertainers Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith, has written an open letter to rapper Tupac who she believes is still alive and is the key to her mother's happiness.

The 11-year-old entertainer recently posted a letter to her Instagram account, where she gives fans some insight into her feelings about the deceased rapper that was once good friends with her mother. In the hand-written letter that begins with "Dear Tupac," the young singer reveals that she believes the rapper who was pronounced dead in 1996 is alive.

"I know you are alive someplace," Smith wrote to the man she calls her favorite rapper. "I think that my mommy really misses you."

In the letter, the young Smith pleads with Tupac to return so that her mother could be happy.

"Can you please come back can you come back so mommy and me can be happy," she writes. "I wish you were here…I really do!"

After Smith ended her letter with "Love, Willow" she posted it on her Instagram and revealed that it was written when she was a bit younger. However, fans of the 11-year-old singer and her family took to Twitter to react to the heartfelt letter.

One person thought Smith was posting the letter because she was seeking attention.

"Isn't she like 6," the person questioned. "Smh doing everything for attention."

Another person thought the letter was sweet.

"Willow Smith wrote a letter to Tupac asking him to come back to life because Jada missed him. Lol," the person wrote. "That's so sweet."

Pinkett-Smith and Tupac first became close friends as teenagers who attended the Baltimore School For The Arts together. Although he was fatally shot in 1996, the rapper revealed his love for the 40-year-actress in a poem released in his 1999 book "A Rose Who Grew From Concrete."

In the book that contained some of the rapper's most intimate writings, fans were able to read a poem title, "4 Jada."

"You are the omega of my heart, The foundation for my conception of love. When I think of what a black woman should be, it's you that I first think of," the rapper wrote about Pinkett-Smith. "You will never fully understand how deeply my heart feels for you. I worry that we'll grow apart and I'll end up losing you."

However, the actress said she never engaged in a romantic relationship with the rapper, labeling their relationship a platonic romance instead.

"Pac and I were never in a romance but I do know that we had those feelings for each other. It was more of a platonic romance between he and I that we put inside a brother, sister, sometimes mother, son, father, daughter good friends relationship," Pinkett-Smith told WJLB radio station two years ago. "We knew us being together in a romantic way would destroy everything because we were both fire...So we knew in order to preserve our relationship there was no way we could ever add romance to it cause we probably would've killed each other!"

After the young Smith posted the letter to her Instagram account, her mother took to Twitter to post a photograph of herself with husband Will Smith.

"The only safety life offers is the opportunity to gain the wisdom and strength to overcome ANYTHING," the caption to the photograph posted by Pinkett-Smith reads.
