'World of Warcraft: Legion' Release Date Announced, Pre-Order Includes Bonuses

The sixth expansion of the massively multiplayer online role-playing game "Word of Warcraft" is coming soon. According to a report by CNET, "World of Warcraft: Legion" will be arriving already on Aug. 30. Developer and publisher Blizzard Entertainment made the announcement on Monday along with the information about the pre-order.

Polygon detailed that different editions of the pack are now available for pre-order. And as most games usually offer, there will be a number of bonuses included when making an order ahead of release. The source noted that it will offer early access to the Demon Hunter class, which will be the first time that it will be appearing in the game. It will also let buyers try it out in advance, allowing them to level a character up to 100 before the launch of "Legion." More information will be revealed soon regarding this bonus.

Engadget also detailed that interested buyers can choose from either the Standard Edition which costs $50 or the Digital Deluxe Edition which costs $70. Both versions will grant the one character up bonus and the early access to the Demon Hunter class. The Standard Edition, as noted in VG 24/7, can be upgraded to a Deluxe Edition, which includes in the package an Illidari Felstalker mount and pet for "World of Warcraft," a helm transmog and wings for "Diablo 3," a Felstalker mount for "Heroes of the Storm" and a pair of fel-infused StarCraft 2 portraits.

For those who are looking out for more, Blizzard is also offering a Collector's Edition which retails at $90. It comes with everything from the Digital Deluxe version along with a two-disc behind-the-scenes Blu-ray/DVD set, a hardcover art book, a CD soundtrack and a "Legion" mousepad.

"World of Warcraft: Legion" will follow after the events of "Warlords of Draenor," the last expansion, which left off with the Gul'dan invading Azeroth alongside the Burning Legion.
