World Series Game 1 Between San Francisco Giants and Kansas City Royals, Watch on Fox or on MLB.tv

The baseball World Series match between the San Francisco Giants and the Kansas City Royals will start today at 8 P.M. EST and can be viewed by tuning in to the Fox network. The match can also be viewed on MLB.tv but it requires a subscription.

The Giants won the championship title in 2010 and 2012 and if their two-year interval continues, they could be the ones to win this year. However, the Royals aren't easy opponents as they've got a perfect 8-0 record during the postseason, with four of those games going into extra innings.

Analysts think that if the Giants want to win today's game, they better keep to nine innings or else they will have a hard time.

This will be the first time in history where two teams with less than 90 wins will be meeting in the World Series. For Game 1, the starting pitch matchup will be Madison Bumgarner for the Giants and James Shields for the Royals.

First off, Bumgarner has won the National League Championship Series MVP and has 1.42 ERA, 0.76 WHIP, 28 strikeouts, and a 2-1 record in the playoffs.

On the other hand, the Royals will be playing with Shields but he will be far behind from Bumgarner but he won't be alone. While he may have a 5.63 ERA, 1.63 WHIP, and 15 strikeouts, he has won every single one of his starts and that would be partially due to his team's offense and the bullpen. Still, they will need to give a better effort against the Giants if they hope to win the match and the eventual series.
