YouTube users DM Pranks wanted to see if people would recognize a "missing" boy if they walked right by him. So, they had a boy sit alone on a park bench with "MISSING" posters of him on poles and trees along the path. They filmed the action, or inaction.
While several passersby connect the poster and the boy, and check on him, about an equal number walk by, oblivious. It's a scene that begs us to question how much we really miss throughout the day.
According to DM Pranks, the experiment was inspired by a true story. In the description:

The real story: The child reached the park, dehydrated and under shock, he wasn't even able to talk or to walk further, he sit down in a bench near some posters of him, but nobody noticed him for a whole day, and nobody asked him why he was there alone. At the end he was found by his mother.
