Xbox One Launch Titles Announced: Third Party Games Dominate the Lack of Exclusives

Microsoft unveiled their launch title lineup for the Xbox One along with the PS4's at yesterday's Gamescon, but still have not given a specific date as to when they will launch.

The day one games include: Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag, Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Crimson Dragon, Dead Rising 3, FIFA 14, Fighter Within, Forza Motorsport 5, Just Dance 2014, Killer Instinct, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, Lococycle, Madden NFL 25, NBA 2K14, NBA LIVE 14, Need for Speed: Rivals, Peggle 2, Powerstar Golf, Ryse: Son of Rome, Skylanders: Swap Force, Watch Dogs, Zoo Tycoon, and Zumba Fitness: World Party.

Xbox One seems to be lacking a lot of exclusive games, and has many of the games PS4 will have. Microsoft said the new Halo game and Titanfall will be coming in the few months after launch.

Halo is Microsoft's flagship game and is one of the reasons for the console's great success. For now it is titled, "Halo Xbox One," according to Forbes.

"The final naming convention of the next chapter of the 'Halo' franchise that we revealed at E3 is still being considered. There's no great mystery, it's simply something still under discussion as we look towards the new generation of Xbox One, its overall branding, and its audience," a Microsoft representative told Forbes.

As far as exclusive games go, Forbes reports that although the consoles may share games, certain titles will favor specific consoles. They cited Call of Duty: Ghosts leaning toward the Xbox One while Assassin's Creed will be geared to the PS4 more.

Microsoft is still quite on the release date and only confirms a November release.

According to Telegraph all pre-ordered Xbox One's will come with FIFA 14, and a similar deal is being reached with Activision and Infinity Ward to have a bundle featuring Call of Duty.
