But when talking to Allure the pain of heartache has been hard to overcome.

"When I lose, when my heart is broken, when I lose a competition, when I don't get something, when something doesn't go my way or I have a heartbreak or whatever, maybe it's just the kind of person that I am, or maybe I haven't really fallen in love yet," she said.

"[I might] end up with a woman raising my children," Saldana told Allure. "That's how androgynous I am."

"If I have something good in front of me, it doesn't matter if it's a person or a pair of shoes, I'm not going to test something else," Saldana added.

Saldana had previously stated that she didn't need a man that all she ever needed was family.

"And the people that I do need are just family, tu entiendes? But a man is something that I want, I want be with a partner, because this partner is going to add or I'm going to add to this partner," she explained.
