There were speculations that Emma Stone will be portraying the younger de Vil. According to previous reports by The Hollywood Reporter, Stone was in early negotiations with Disney regarding the upcoming film. However, there were some reports criticizing the choice, as some fans believe that Stone will not be a good fit.
Nevertheless, it was recently confirmed that Stone will in fact be playing the role. Disney recently announced the news earlier this week.
