Sanders, on the other hand, toppled Hillary Clinton's lead in previous polls as he took home the gold with 58 percent compared to the former First Lady's 40 percent. In Iowa, Sanders almost won following some errors that put him with a tie against Clinton. However, the final results revealed that the former Secretary of State still won the Democratic caucuses in the state.

Sanders' win in New Hampshire is a huge step in his campaign, especially after polls last year put him behind Clinton by significant numbers. When it was time for the Democrat to deliver his speech, he thanked his biggest rival, noting that Clinton called him, congratulating him for his win in the state. He also thanked his supporters who were with him as he ran the race.
Meanwhile, Trump took the stage with a huge smile. Trump gave a thumbs-up sign to the people who came to see him take the victory. According to The Guardian, he also said, "We are now going to South Carolina, we're gonna win in South Carolina. I love you all."
His win was somehow expected, but what's notable about New Hampshire's caucuses is the candidate that conquered Ted Cruz, who won the Republican caucuses in Iowa last week. In a twist of shocking results, Ohio Gov. John Kasich finished off at second place, while Cruz was pushed back to third.
Third place was a little tight for not only Cruz but Jeb Bush, who only missed to grab the spot by only about .5 percent.
