A.J. McCarron, Katherine Webb to Televise Wedding?
Recently engaged couple A.J. McCarron and Katherine Webb are reportedly inking a deal for a reality series, leaving fans wondering if their upcoming nuptials will be televised.
McCarron, the former quarterback for the University of Alabama, proposed to his beauty queen girlfriend late last month. Webb announced the engagement via Twitter and shared a photo of her engagement ring with her nearly 4,000 followers. Now, fans of the couple could have a chance to watch their nuptials on live television.
According to reports this week, McCarron and Webb will star in a new reality television series that will document the wedding planning process. Webb's sister Laurie revealed that even McCarron's March proposal was taped, and that the show is well underway.
"They've already started filming the proposal," Laurie Webb told The Auburn Plainsman. "From what I understood, it came from someone else. I don't think they were trying to get into a reality show, I think they just had the opportunity and decided to take it."
Furthermore, Webb and McCarron's wedding is said to be taking place July 11. It is not yet known how many episodes will be taped for the new reality series, and final details have not yet been confirmed.
Meanwhile, McCarron reportedly proposed to Webb in Gulf Shores, Alabama at the Beach Club Restaurant, according to People magazine.
"WE'RE ENGAGEDDD," the former Miss Alabama 2012 wrote on Twitter at the time.
Along with a photo of the ring, Webb added, "He designed it himself."
The couple has been dating since 2012 and rose to stardom during a college football championship after a sports announcer commented on Webb's appearance. Afterward, Webb's modeling career skyrocketed, and no one was more surprised than her.
"I was completely dumbfounded. It was so shocking to me because literally over night I go from being AJ's girlfriend and going to support him in the championship game to being on every major media news outlet," she told Sports Illustrated.
