'Agent Carter' Season 2 News: ABC Shares Close-Up Shots Of Cast
The anticipation for Season 2 of ABC's hit action drama TV series "Agent Carter" is getting more and more intense with the release of new promo materials.
For the past few weeks, avid followers have been keeping tabs on updates regarding the second season of the Hayley Atwell-led show. This week, in particular, saw the release of the new gallery photos featuring the stars of the Marvel TV show.
Shared over at TVLine, the series of images show the old and new cast members posing as their respective characters. Starting the slideshow is Atwell as the titular character, Agent Peggy Carter. Next up are James D'Arcy as Edwin Jarvis, Enver Gjokaj as Chief Daniel Sousa, Chad Michael Murray as Chief Jack Thompson, Bridget Regan as Dottie Underwood, Currie Graham as Calvin Chadwick, Lotte Verbeek as Ana Jarvis, Reggie Austin as Dr. Jason Wilkes, Lesley Boone as Rose Roberts, and last but not the least, Wynn Everett as Whitney Frost.
Last week, the network released the full synopsis for Season 2, a copy of which can be found on TVSeriesFinale.com. It indicated that fans will once again find Peggy up on a mission for the Strategic Scientific Reserve (SSR).
During the premiere, she will travel from New York City to Los Angeles to accomplish what is touted to be "her most dangerous and bizarre assignment yet."
The synopsis also says that the assignment concerns a "strange homicide" case including "a body that glows and emanates cold." Her new task will tie her up with Sousa, the West Coast SSR Chief.
Ushering her arrival to the "glitz and glamour" sunny city is Howard Stark's (Dominic Cooper) trusty butler, Jarvis. She will be living in Stark's Hollywood mansion where she will get acquainted with Ana, who happens to be Jarvis' "free spirited and devoted wife" with whom Peggy will take "an immediate liking."
During the course of the investigation, she will also meet a lot of people including the "quirky yet charming scientist" Wilkes and the "movie starlet, brilliant physicist" Frost.
"Agent Carter" Season 2 premieres Tuesday, Jan. 19, on ABC.
