'Agent Carter' Season 2 Return Scheduled on Jan. 19 after Captain America Special
"Agent Carter" season 2 has been slated to return to ABC on Jan. 19, 2016, but a Captain America special will come before that.
"Marvel's Captain America: 75 Heroic Years" will be shown before "Agent Carter" season 2 airs on ABC next month. The one-hour special will feature the history of Captain America in Marvel comics and movies from 1941 up to the most recent time, according to Carter Matt.
"Agent Carter" season 2 was initially scheduled to return on Jan. 5, but ABC released a statement announcing a two-week delay for the show because of U.S. President Barack Obama's State of the Union Address, which will be aired on Jan. 12. The network explained that they want the spy action series to be viewed on air uninterrupted, The Venture Capital Post reports.

Meanwhile, "Agent Carter" star Chad Michael Murray, who plays Agent Jack Thompson in the series, revealed what his character will do in the second season. He also gave a few hints to the events in the premiere. In an interview with TV Guide, Murray said Agent Thompson will be in control of Agent Peggy Carter's (Hayley Atwell) activities, the report details.
"He's got to take the reins and become the man he's ultimately going to be. He's got control over what Carter's going to do, where she's going to be," Murray told TV Guide in an interview. "He's in charge of Sousa. He's in charge of the SSR. I think were going to see some classic Thompson. But we'll also get to peek behind some curtains and see a bit more."
Season 2 will continue the adventures of Agent Carter in the United States after the World War II. She will leave New York and embark on a dangerous mission in Los Angeles, the report adds.
"Agent Carter" season 2 will premiere on Jan. 19, 2016 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
