'American Horror Story: Hotel' Spoilers, Cast News: Star Receives Golden Globe Nod; Episode 10 Synopsis Revealed
Lady Gaga, who portrays the vampiric The Countess, has just received high recognition for her work in the critically-acclaimed horror anthology drama TV series "American Horror Story: Hotel." Meanwhile, the summary for the next week's airing of the show has been released.
Ever since series creator Ryan Murphy announced the casting of the 29-year-old singer-turned-actress for Season 5, fans have already been wishing that something great would come out of this venture. True enough, a report from Entertainment Weekly said that the singer, real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, has just received her first-ever Golden Globe nomination on Thursday, Dec. 10.
The "Born This Way" singer is no stranger to major accolades. For her works in music, she received a couple of Emmy nominations and won six Grammy Awards. This is on top of her other achievements which includes receiving multiple awards from MTV as well as breaking 12 Guinness World Records.
But this recent acknowledgment has sent the best-selling music artist into an overly-enthusiastic mood.
"I apologize to my neighbors I'm still screaming in my apt in NY!" Gaga said on her social media this week. "I'm nominated as an actress for a Golden Globe what a dream is this real!"
The LGBT advocate went on to express her gratitude to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for recognizing what she did in the small screen.
Meanwhile, fans will get to see more of the Gaga magic next week as she is slated to appear in the 10th episode titled "She Gets Revenge."
The synopsis shared over at the Futon Critic said that Alex (Chloe Sevigny) will enlist John's (Wes Bentley) help in containing an outbreak. Donovan (Matt Bomer), on his part, will get wind of The Countess' plans. Liz (Denis O'Hare) and Iris (Kathy Bates), on the other hand, will consider leaving the hotel for good.
