'American Horror Story' Season 4 Spoilers: Wes Bentley Joins 'Freak Show' as Tormentor

"American Horror Story: Freak Show" fans can look forward to meeting a new villain in "American Beauty" star Wes Bentley.

The actor signed up for the fourth season of FX's hit anthology series this week, TVLine reported. Bentley will portray Eddie, a dark tormentor from Kathy Bates' past who is hell-bent on revenge. Furthermore, Bentley will appear in the two-part Halloween special of "AHS," set to air tentatively on Oct. 21 and Oct. 28.

"AHS: Freak Show" is set in the United States during the last freak show in the 1950s. The fourth season will see the return of Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Frances Conroy, Angela Bassett, and Bates.

As previously reported, Michael Chiklis has also joined "Freak Show." According "AHS" executive producer Ryan Murphy, the actor will portray "a strong man who's married to Angela Bassett ['s character]," TVLine reported.

"He has scenes with Angela and Jessica Lange and [onscreen ex] Kathy Bates," Murphy added. "I love the part because it's really written to be quite vulnerable, which is something I think Michael does so well – the strong man who's vulnerable. I'm very excited to see [him] tussle with all those great ladies. And he's really up for it, really excited about it."

In addition to Chiklis' character, fans can already look forward to Paulson's eerie new role on "AHS." The actress fills two roles on "Freak Show" as a two-headed character, Bette and Dot, as revealed on Twitter.

"So excited to be playing Bette AND Dot this season," Paulson wrote on Twitter last month. "Two heads are better than one! #AHSFREAKSHOW"

Paulson's post included a photo revealing her shocking two-headed character. Wearing a pink sweater, digital retouching allowed the actress to have two identical heads and necks protruding from the same chest.

"AHS: Freak Show" is expected to return to FX in the fall.
