'American Idol' XIII Winner: Jena Irene and Caleb Johnson Battle It Out in Finale, Who Will Win?

"American Idol" fans are anxiously awaiting part two of the season finale on Wednesday night where a winner will be named.

The competition is down to just two finalists; Jena Irene and Caleb Johnson, who await their fate ahead of the May 21 finale. Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick, Jr. and Keith Urban will help announce the winner after 75,000 auditions and innumerable performances this season. Before the winner is announced live from Los Angeles' Nokia Theater on Wednesday, a brief profile on each finalist has been compiled here as well as a recap of part one of the finale.

Firstly, Jenna Irene is a 17-year-old from Farmington Hills, Michigan. She is the first female wild-card contestant to make the Top Two in "American Idol" in the history of the television series. The second finalist, Caleb Johnson, is a rock-n-roll fan who tried out for "American Idol" two times before finally making it on to the show this year. The 23-year-old is from Asheville, N.C.

During part one of the finale on Tuesday, each contestant was asked for perform during three rounds; first, Johnson and Irene performed songs selected by "Idol" creator Simon Fuller, then each reprised their favorite performances from past weeks before performing their "winner's single" which would become the lead song on their debut album if they win.

For her three rounds, Irene performed "Dog Days Are Over" (Florence + the Machine), "Can't Help Falling in Love" (Elvis), and "We Are One." Alternately, Johnson sang Aerosmith's "Dream On," "Maybe I'm Amazed" (Paul McCartney), and "As Long As You Love Me."

To find out who wins, tune in to Fox for Wednesday's "American Idol" finale at 8 p.m. EST. The conclusion of the two-part 13th season finale will also see performances by Lady Antebellum, Aloe Blacc, KISS, John Legend, Demi Lovato, Jason Mraz, Jennifer Nettles, Paramore, Phillip Phillips and Darius Rucker.
