Amy Schumer Bans Fan Selfie After Scary Encounter with 'Dude in Greenville'

Stand-up comedian and actress Amy Schumer is now banning fans from taking selfies with her—not completely but depending on the kinds of attitude the fan will be displaying. She had voiced out this rule after her experience with a man who wanted to take a photo with her. According to a report by KUTV.com, the "Trainwreck" actress shared on her Instagram account an encounter with an overzealous man.

She posted a photo of a man who is identified in SFGate as Leslie Brewer. As told by Schumer, the man came up to her demanding for a selfie. "This guy in front of his family just ran up next to me scared the s--t out of me. Put a camera in my face. I asked him to stop and he said ' no it's America and we paid for you' this was in front of his daughter," Schumer wrote in the caption.

She also said that she was telling the man "stop" and "no." She then concluded her post by saying, "I will not take picture with people anymore and it's because of this dude in Greenville." Entertainment Online noted that some of the fans of the "Inside Amy Schumer" star were dismayed to learn that the Hollywood celebrity will no longer accept taking photos with fans. However, there were some who gave out their support to Schumer.

This led her to later on explain that she's not actually totally going to ban people from taking photos with her whenever they encounter her on the street or maybe in a restaurant. She went to her Twitter account to explain that she will still take photos with fans but only with those who are actually "nice."

In a separate post, Schumer wrote, "Thanks for the kind words and support. I'll still take pictures with nice people when I choose to if it's a good time for that. But I don't owe you anything. So don't take if I say no."
