Angelina Jolie on Son Maddox Dating: 'It's Really Sweet' (VIDEO)
Angelina Jolie is one of the most famous mothers in the world, but the actress proved she is just like other moms when gushing about son Maddox this week.
The "Maleficent" star and longtime partner Brad Pitt shared six children together. Jolie, 38, recently discussed their eldest son Maddox, and while the actress is accustomed to answering questions about her own personal life, Jolie instead revealed details of her son's love life.
"He's dating, he's got a girlfriend," the UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador said of her 12-year-old son, according Entertainment Tonight.
Jolie went on to describe Maddox's girlfriend as "lovely" before worrying about embarrassing her eldest.
"She's great," the actress added. "I won't embarrass him. She's lovely. She lives in England. She's very cool."
Maddox likely met his lady love while Pitt was filming "Fury" there over the past year. However, the Jolie-Pitts have spent an extensive amount of time in the U.K. over the past few years. The famous family divides their time between homes in New Orleans, London, Los Angeles, and the South of France. In fact, in a past interview, Jolie has specifically pointed out that she wants her children to be comfortable traveling a lot.
"We're happy and spend a lot of time alone and meet new people wherever we go," the actress said, referring to her family moving from place to place while speaking to W magazine in 2008. "It's part of how I want to raise them. If you tell them we're getting on a plane tomorrow, they're all excited and pack their bags, and if you say we're not coming back for months, they won't bat an eye. I think they see the world as a home. I've seen Madd run through markets of Addis Ababa [in Ethiopia] and not notice that it's very poor, or that everyone if African and that he's Asian. It wouldn't matter to him."
Nevertheless, Jolie said this week that she and Pitt try to make their nomadic lifestyle work for Maddox and his girlfriend.
"We go there as often as possible," she said. It's really, really sweet. She's a great lady. So far, we're doing good."
