Apple iTV Release Date Set for 2012 in Three Different Size Options
A new report has stated that the Apple television model will come in three different sizes.
Australian technology site Smarthouse received information on Apple's next project from its trusted sources at a Japanese company. The company is said to be working on the production side of an Apple TV set.
It has now been revealed that Apple TV’s could be made available in sizes ranging from 32-inches to 55-inches.

"Sources at a major Japanese company who are involved in manufacturing the TV believe that the 55-inch model will compete with new Smart TVs from Samsung and LG that will have new processors built in while offering a combination of OLED display, as well as new Super HD TV technology from LG," the website said.
Smarthouse's sources also revealed that Apple has built new compatible software within its TV. This software will allow users to call out channels and their favorite TV shows with the company's Siri virtual personal assistant.
Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster previously said he believed Apple would sell its first television by the end of this year. Munster proceeded to change his retail debut date for the TV, now stating that the television will likely launch by the end of 2012.
CNet.com detailed more of Munster's projections for the Apple TV: "Last week at a Business Insider conference, Munster said that Apple firmly believes consumers want an all-in-one television that isn't tied down to external boxes. He also predicted that Apple would sell its line of televisions for twice the price of a comparable alternative. Like Smarthouse's sources, Munster believes the televisions will come with Siri support and a few different screen sizes."
Steve Jobs, the former CEO of Apple who passed away earlier this year, spoke about creating an Apple TV in his biography. Jobs spoke to the author of his biography, Walter Issacson, about his company's plans.
"I'd like to create an integrated television set that is completely easy to use," Jobs told his biographer. "It would be seamlessly synched with all of your devices and with iCloud. It will have the simplest user interface you could imagine. I finally cracked it."
Currently, iTunes inventor Jeff Robbin is overseeing the Apple TV project. Bloomberg's sources said that Apple now has a prototype model of its TV in its possession.
No official word on the rumored Apple iTV has come from Apple yet. Next year, more official word on the company's new product should be released.
