Aside from the competition, it seems the market couldn't handle all the Apple Watches in town, leaving a lot of stores putting them on sale to get rid of the stocks before the second wearable arrives.

Meanwhile, it is rumored that the Apple will be announcing something big about the Apple Watch 2 in March. It is expected that details about the new device will be laid out, from colors, materials, and pricing.
Previous reports about Apple suggest that a big event will be held this March, and aside from the wearable, it is also said that the tech giant will unveil the iPhone 6c and iPad Air 3.
The first wearable become pretty popular for its design and it is rumored that its successor will sport improved functionality as word of a magnetic wristband is now hot around tech outlets. With a magnetic wristband, it will be easier to get the Apple Watch 2 going when late for work or school.
The rumored wristband is also multifunctional as the band can be wrapped around the watch for storage and it can also be used as a stand for those who prefer to place their device on the table and off the wrist.
As for when Apple will release the device, reports vary. Some state it will come in April while some believe it will be launched around May or June.
