'Ark: Survival Evolved' Patch: New Creatures, New Items And Fixes On Their Way

Action-adventure survival video game "Ark: Survival Evolved" is getting a new Xbox One patch. According to a report by IGN, developer Studio Wildcard recently tweeted a screenshot of some of the pending changes that will be coming to the game.

It shows in the attached image a little preview of what the patch will bring along to the game. And as noted, it will be adding to the Xbox One version of the game all the PC content up to Patch 233. This means that it will include creatures Beer, Dung Beetle, Dimetrodan, Riot Armor and many more. It also revealed that there is going to be a split-screen multiplayer for both online and local play.

Aside from that, Express detailed that a new dinosaur is going to be introduced and it's going to be called as Gallimimus. The wild creature is described to be the fastest creature in the game with its chicken-like appearance and "extremely skittish behavior."

"Thankfully the Gallimimus may very well be the fastest dinosaur on the ARK – it's strength, endurance and speed of its legs allow it to ferry up to three Survivors in a specially-designed Saddle!" said Studio Wildcard.

The patch will also bring some new items. According to Game Rant, "Ark: Survival Evolved" will introduce riot armors and shock prods. It will also have a greenhouse tile set which is made to enhance the game's agriculture mechanics with plant-growing benefits.

And since the game has been swamped with a number of bugs which resulted to frame-rate drops and server crashes, Studio Wildcard made sure to include some fixes. The addition of the split-screen support will help the  Xbox One version be "the definitive way to play the game" once the patch is available next week..

Co-optimus noted that "Ark: Survival Evolved" is still an early access title. The game is set to release on June 2016 for PC, Xbox One and PS4. The patch is also expected to roll out beginning Feb. 10.
