Asus Live Launched in Brazil; Specs Include 5-Inch Display, 8MP Camera, 2070 mAh Battery, Priced at $210
Chinese electronics company Asus has launched a new device and this time, it is not part of the ZenFone series. According to Gadgets 360, the new smartphone is dubbed as the Asus Live (model number G500TG) and it is only available in Brazil as of now.
There's no word yet on when it might be introduced in other countries but it's expected to launch sometime soon. As noted in GSM Arena, the Asus Live is a new mid-range offer. But if one would look at its hardware specs, it's actually not difficult to tell that it has a similarity to the specs sheet of the ZenFone Go as it has just about the same hardware platform.
Sporting a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen IPS HD display, the device has a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It is equipped with 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6580 processor paired with Mali 400 MP2 graphics processing unit. It is also packed with 2 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and has an internal storage of 16 GB. A microSD card slot is available if the user opts to expand with up to 64 GB.

The device runs with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with Zen UI 2.0 on top of it. And as noted in Softpedia, it will feature a built-in digital TV, which is actually something that cannot be found in the ZenFone Go. Phone Arena also reported that it is made of plastic and comes with colored sides and accents. The color options include blue, magenta and yellow.
As for the camera specs, the device carries with it an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash, and video recording. Meanwhile, the front has a 2-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. The device also supports 3G and dual-SIM. It has no 4G LTE though. Giving it power is a 2070 mAh battery.
The standard connectivity options are also available like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0 and GPS with AGPS support. Since Asus Live is a mid-range device, it comes with an affordable price. It is currently priced at $210 in Brazil.
