Asus Zenfone Zoom to Launch in India, Specs Include 5.5-Inch Display,13MP Rear Camera, 3X Optical Zoom
Good news for fans of Asus who are based in India. The Taiwan-based electronics company is said to be bringing to the country the camera-centric smartphone ZenFone Zoom. According to International Business Times, there are rumors circulating around that they will be launching the device in India after it mentioned an "imaging-masterpiece."
"After setting new benchmarks in digital imaging with its feature-laden ZenFone range, ASUS is gearing up to reinvent smartphone photography. Scheduled to hit the Indian market later this month, the new addition to ASUS' expanding smartphone range, the imaging-masterpiece will truly enable the users to 'See The World Up Close'!," said the company.

They did not name the device but NDTV Gadgets noted that the company also mentioned the very specs that are found in the Asus ZenFone Zoom. As of now, the handset is only available in its home country, Taiwan. But if the speculations are right, it won't be long until the device will be available in India. It's expected to arrive sometime later this month.
The Asus ZenFone Zoom is expected to carry the same features and specs when it was first showcased at the CES 2015. It will feature a 5.5-inch full-HD display with 1080 by 1920 pixels resolution. It will be covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 on top and run with the Asus ZenUI based on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Since the device is specifically made with impressive camera specs, the ZenFone Zoom has a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.7 to f/4.8-aperture. Its highlight feature is the 10-element lenses with 3x optical zoom. It's also made with optical image stabilization, dual-color Real Tone flash and laser auto-focus. And because the device is only 11.95mm thin, it is considered as the "world's thinnest 3x optical smartphone" that can offer as much as 12X zoom-in effect.
Other specs and features include a 5-megapixel front camera, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB built in storage with microSD card slot, 3000mAh battery, Bluetooth, 4G, 3G, WiFi, Micro-USB and sensors like accelerometer, proximity, digital compass, gyroscopic, and ambient light.
