'Attack On Titan' Season 2 News: New Release Date Confirmed; To Step Away From Manga
For those who are patiently waiting, a new release date for the second season of the hit Japanese anime series "Attack On Titan" has surfaced this week. Recent plot rumors, meanwhile, indicate the demise of one of the show's main characters. Moreover, it's been heard that the show will veer away from the source materials.
According to reports, "Attack On Titan" Season 2 will return sometime in February 2016 in Japan Television while fans from around the world can catch the new installment via online streaming.
Although the specific premiere date is yet to be announced, it is believed that it will fall close to the launching of the new "Attack On Titan" game of the same name. Published by Koei Tecmo, the action adventure game is slated to hit the shelves Feb. 18, 2016 for PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4.

As for the show itself, a handful of spoilers have emerged over the course of months. It is speculated that the new season will be the last one in the series and that it will revolve around the "104 Trainees Squad."
It has also been heard that fans might get a different feel from the anime adaptation as it will not be following the plotline of the original manga series written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama.
One of the deviations that might shock the followers is the death of Eren Yeager. Apparently, the protagonist will stand up against Captain Smith and their altercation will leave him heavily injured which could lead to his possible death.
Aside from Eren, "Attack On Titan" Season 2 will also reveal other humans that are said to be capable of transforming into the dreaded monsters. Furthermore, the show will also introduce a new breeds of Titans which happen to reside inside the walls.
