'Avatar 2' Shooting to Take Place at Deepest Point of Mariana's Trench
After years of waiting, fans will finally see the world of Pandora in the big screen when "Avatar 2" hits theaters.
The first installment of the "Avatar" movie series saw great success. However, there has been much delay regarding the sequel. It was reported that the production team of the movie had taken time to develop the right technology to execute the vision of James Cameron.
In previous reports, Cameron stated that the film will explore the oceans of Pandora. With that, they needed to find the right equipment to give justice to the wonders of the fictional world. There are rumors that the ocean scenes will be shot in the deepest point of the Mariana's Trench.

According to Wikia, the producer of the film, Jon Landau shared some details about the process. He said, "WETA is working out underwater performance capture for underwater scenes. It's going to be like the Floating Mountains in the first movie. It's not going to be all underwater; it's going to be a place we go to, leave and come back to."
Along with the new environment, Cameron explained that the upcoming film will present a much darker theme compared to its previous installment. While there has yet to be any confirmation regarding the plot of the film, fans have created their own theories on what will happen in "Avatar 2."
Some suggest that Jake Sully will take on the role of chief for the tribe. However, even though he and Neytiri will be married, the film could see a war between the Na'vi and the humans. Because of that, Neytiri and Sully will also experience some struggles in their relationship.
It was also stated that the production team plans to shoot the second and third installment simultaneously. As reported by Reelz, Cameron stated, "In the second and third films, which will be self-contained stories that also fulfill a greater story arc, we will not back off the throttle of Avatar's visual and emotional horsepower, and will continue to explore its themes and characters, which touched the hearts of audiences in all cultures around the world."
"Avatar 2" is expected to it theaters Dec. 25, 2017.
