'Avengers 3' Plot Spoilers, News: Does 'Infinity War' Spell The End For Key Avengers?
After "The Avengers: Age Of Ultron," fans are already looking forward for the next installment of the hit Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise, "Avengers 3," which is reportedly subtitled with "Infinity War."
With a handful of years to wait before the upcoming film hits the big screen, it is expected that there would be a lot of speculation going on about what the next movie will be about, more specifically, which of the MCU heroes will survive the foreboding war.
The report from KPopStarz.com cited Marvel studio head, Kevin Paige, hinting about the end of some of the recognizable faces in the franchise.
In an event held for the home release of "Age of Ultron," Feige dropped a ton of information about the Marvel movie.
"It definitely is an end to some version of the team that we've come to know in 'The Avengers.' Who knows exactly what's gonna happen yet in that film but I think this version of that team, and I think we hint to it at the end of 'Age of Ultron,' that the team will be a evolving," he said.
And by "evolving," he most probably meant the exit of select crew members in the lineup of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Feige, however, emphasized that this shakeup will usher in a new beginning for the team and this could mean the influx of new heroes.
"You can pick up an Avengers book 10 years later and you don't recognize the people on the cover but the ideas and the ideals that make the Avengers the Avengers still exist and I think that's part of what this culmination will be," he went on to say.
This announcement eventually called on a few speculations as to who among the current Avengers is in mortal danger.
The report from Movie Pilot gave a list of possible characters that might be kicking the bucket on or before "Infinity War" arrives.
Heading the list is Captain America. The site pointed out that Chris Evans, the actor who headlines the role, is contracted to appear only in "Infinity War - Part 1" but not Part 2. The site goes on to theorize that the patriotic hero might even perish in "Captain America: Civil War."
Another character rooted to bite the dust is Thor. According to the publication, there's a strong possibility that he might die even before Avengers 3 is released.
Rumors that are currently circulating indicates that the character's next standalone film, "Thor: Ragnarok" might end up with the wielder of the Mjolnir kicking the bucket or worse, imprisoned in a supernatural jail.
"Avengers: Infinity War - Part 1" is slated to arrive in theaters May 4, 2018. Stay tuned for more updates.
