'Bates Motel' Season 4 News: A&E Release Key Art Featuring Norman Donning Norma's Pearls

The hype for the return of A&E's hit crime drama TV series "Bates Motel" continues to grow even more intense as the network recently released the latest promo poster for the upcoming Season 4, according to TVLine.

The new installment of the Freddie Highmore and Vera Farmiga-starred TV series will reportedly premiere on Monday, March 7 at 9 p.m.

Once again, the TV show cleverly pays homage to the cult classic psycho-thriller film from Alfred Hitchcock, "Psycho." In the poster, the tagline can be read:

"She wouldn't even harm a fly."

Highmore's infamous Norman can be seen wearing what appears to be a part of his mother's apparel, a string of pearls. Once again, the character is giving this look that certainly manifests his continued downward spiral, while Norma has become increasingly worried of her son's mental condition.

Series executive producer Carlton Cuse told CalgaryHerald.com last year that Norman's path to becoming the psycho-murderer in Hitchcock's 1960 classic has become even clearer than ever.

"For the first three seasons of the show, we have watched in a slow, progressive way his development of becoming the guy he is going to become. When the show started, for [my fellow executive producer] Kerry [Ehrin] and I, he was just a kid. He was a kid who had blackouts and some issues and stuff. But at the end of the third season of the show, he really becomes unhinged in a different way he had before. That really sets up a different version of the Norman that we know from the movie," Cuse said during the Banff World Media Festival in Canada.

A&E previously unveiled the "Bates Motel" Season 4 teaser during the Critics' Choice Awards. The rather short clip featured the infamous peephole-pecked walls of the titular establishment. Diving further down the hole, an image of a loaded gun was shown, superimposed by a terrified Norma who can also be seen going down into the spiral. Norman's distraught voice can then be heard screaming, "Mother! Mother!" as he reaches out to someone.
