'Bates Motel' Season 4 Spoilers: New Teaser Revealed

With the return of "Bates Motel" less than a month away, fans were able to get a look into the episodes from a recently released teaser by A&E.

It was reported that the network A&E recently posted a sneak peek into the upcoming season of "Bates Motel." It shows Norman Bates, played by Freddie Highmore, becoming more delusional.

The previous season of the series showed more signs of his mental problem when he started acting like his mother, Norma Bates, played by Vera Farmiga. The past episodes also showed his defiance toward his mother.

With that, the stars of the series previously shared some insight about what to expect in the season to come. During a previous interview with The Observer, Farmiga and Highmore were asked about the shift in dynamics between their characters.

Farmiga stated, "I think following the events of last season, Norma is more aware, she's more circumspect, she's more attentive to Norman's fragility. I think you're going to see her playing her cards really close to her chest in the beginning of the season but she's got to reach out."

She also explained that her character will start seeking help from others in order to help his son with his problem.

Meanwhile, Highmore also explained that there will be a distinct change in their relationship. He said, "There's this struggle for power between Norma and Norman in their relationship that will start to become ever more important. And whereas Norman has always been very much the son or the younger person in the relationship before, that dynamic is starting to shift."

However, he said that Norman will eventually take more of the control in their relationship, which will allow him to manipulate his own mother. Highmore hinted that Norman will become the dominant one at the end of season 4.

"Bates Motel" season 4 is expected to premiere this Mar. 7.
