'Batman v Superman' News, Spoilers: Filmmakers On Creating An Ensemble Movie; Ben Affleck Shoots Down Rumor

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," which celebrated its world premiere Sunday, March 20, in New York City's Radio City Music Hall, brings together the comic book trinity of Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) on the big screen for the first time ever.

Zack Snyder, who directed the film and its predecessor, 2013's "Man of Steel," has said that transitioning from a single-superhero film to one in which a group of them is featured wasn't all that difficult.

"I made a movie called 'Watchmen' a few years ago," the director told USA Today from the film's premiere. His experience helming "Watchmen" (2009), an ensemble film featuring a group of DC Comics superheroes, enabled Snyder to take on the work that he is now doing: having directed "Batman v Superman," he is set to begin working on the two "Justice League" films.

"As far as preparing I kind of had an idea how to do that," he said.

Producer Charles Roven also weighed in, telling the outlet, "The more protagonists that you have, the more you have to devote time to them, and that's complicated because you want to make sure that the characters are fully realized."

Meanwhile, during a news conference held in Mexico City ahead of the "Batman v Superman" world premiere in New York, Affleck responded to the rumor that he had been rewriting the "Dawn of Justice" script in between takes while wearing his Batman costume.

In February, US Weekly published an article in which it was claimed that Affleck re-wrote parts of "Batman v Superman" in his superhero suit during the film's production. It should be noted that Affleck won an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for "Good Will Hunting" (1997) and that he is not credited as a writer in "Batman v Superman."

"That is the dumbest rumor," Affleck said, as quoted by The Hollywood Reporter. "I just like how if I was gonna go write, I would put on this bat suit first because it's so comfortable to write in. I didn't rewrite anything in any outfit, my underwear or otherwise."

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" hits theaters Friday, March 25.
