'Batman v Superman' News, Spoilers: Henry Cavill's Take On Superman Is True To The Comics, 'More Serious'

With every comic-book superhero adaptation come fans complaining about the television or cinematic version veering away from the comics. With less than two weeks before its release, Henry Cavill has spoken up and revealed that this won't be the case for his character in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."

In an interview with inSing Movies, the actor revealed that his take on the iconic superhero stays truer to the comics than previous incarnations and that the Clark Kent viewers will find in "Dawn of Justice" is a journalist who takes his job seriously.

"It's more the Clark Kent from the comic books as opposed to the Richard Donner, Christopher Reeve version of Clark Kent," Cavill said.

According to the actor, compared to previous Clark Kents, his portrayal of the bespectacled Daily Planet reporter has a "more serious tone" and tries to use his position as a journalist to solve things before resorting to his caped alter ego.

"He's a reporter," the "Man of Steel" actor explained. "There's less of that light touch, less of that comedic touch to his performance or his presentation to the world."

Meanwhille, on a recent appearance in "Good Morning America," Cavill spoke about his "Batman v Superman" co-star Ben Affleck, who is making his cinematic debut as the Dark Knight in the upcoming Zack Snyder-helmed film. According to Cavill, Affleck had a bit of trouble moving around the "Dawn of Justice" set in his bulky Batman costume.

"Ben's got a good sense of humor," the actor said. "He really does. Especially when he's walking around in his big Batsuit and because he can't see anything peripherally. He falls over stuff all the time."

In the upcoming superhero team-up film, Cavill's Superman and Affleck's Batman will be joined by Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa's Aquaman, Ray Fisher's Cyborg, and Ezra Miller's The Flash. The film sets up the two-part "Justice League" event, which is expected to premiere in 2017.

"Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" hits theaters March 25.
