Beyonce, Jay Z Wedding Snub Was 'Last Thing' on Kim Kardashian's Mind, Mother Says

Kris Jenner recently brushed off Hollywood power couple Beyonce and Jay Z's decision to snub Kim Kardashian's wedding to Kanye West.

Last month Kardashian, 33, and West, 36, wed in a lavish ceremony before 200 family and friends and while A-list couple Beyonce and Jay Z were invited, they declined the invitation. Prior to the wedding reports claimed West had asked his hip-hop mogul friend to be his best man, however, this was never publicly confirmed.

"What about the Jay Z and Beyonce thing? Everyone would've expected that Jay Z would be Kanye's best man, but they weren't there at the wedding," KIIS 106.5 FM radio host Jackie O asked Jenner in a recent interview.

Jenner, who is Kardashian's mother, was amongst the 200 guests present at the reality TV star's wedding in Italy on May 24. The Kardashian matriarch did her best to dispel reports of a snub on Beyonce and Jay Z's part.

"You know what? There was so much commotion and excitement, I never even gave that a second thought," Jenner said regarding Beyonce and Jay Z's wedding snub.

"I know they sent really nice wishes to Kanye and Kim and I just assumed they were working," she continued. "If you had been there you would have thought that was the last thing on anyone's mind."

It is unclear why exactly Beyonce and Jay Z decided not to attend Kardashian and West's wedding, but reports claim the pair opted to instead spend Memorial weekend relaxing in the Hamptons.

"They weren't sure about all of the media attention and it possibly being filmed for the show [KUWTK], but after the fight with Rachel at the Met, they decided to lay low," a source told HollywoodLife.com adding, "Bey and Jay are working on their marriage."

Beyonce took to Instagram last month to congratulate Kardashian and West on their marriage. The touching gesture suggests there is no bad blood between the two couples.

"Wishing you a lifetime of unconditional love. God bless your beautiful family," Beyonce captioned alongside a photograph of the West family.
