Bezel-less Sony Lavender Leaked Images Appear Online

Alleged photos of the new Sony Lavender have been leaked online, showing the slim mid-range smartphone's bezel-less face.

A week after a leaked render of the Sony Lavender made its rounds on the Internet, another set of photos emerged showing the actual mid-range handset that's expected to be unveiled next month.

The upcoming phone is speculated to be the Japanese electronics company's next flagship smartphone, and may be the device it has earlier hinted at as being a spinoff of the Xperia series.

The photos have reportedly been taken of a production unit, and features Sony Lavender's borderless display setup.

The leaked images also feature front stereo speakers, which may or may not be decorative, just like on the Sony Xperia C3.

According to GSM Arena, the slim-bodied Sony Lavender is rumored to have a MediaTek MT6752 chipset, a 1.7 GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU, and a Mali-T760 GPU running on Android Lollipop.

The handset will have a 1080 x 1920 display in a screen not less than 5.5 inches and 2 GB of RAM.

It is also said to have a 13 MP rear camera with the Sony IMX214 stabilizing sensor, which provides a maximum 30 frames per second with high resolution HDR imaging for images and videos, and a 5 MP LED-equipped front shooter that's similar to the Xperia C3 and C4.

The smartphone, which will be equipped with dual SIM support but no microSD slot, is rumored to be selfie-centered, like the C3 and C4

According to Phone Arena, the new handset is currently in production and will start shipping in June. Sony has a press event set for this week where it is expected to unveil the Sony Lavender, which may be launched under a different name, Phones Review U.K. said.
