'Big Brother 18' Spoilers, News & Updates: Final HoH Rounds One and Two Winners; Who Does Julia Chen Root for As Big Winner?

We're down to James Huling, Nicole Franzel, and Paul Abrahamian as the last three house guests in the veteran CBS series "Big Brother 18" (BB18). Tensions are high as the three battle it out for the last Head of Household (HoH) competition to secure their spot in the Final Two. Fans have been wondering aloud about the season's Big Winner, and no less than host Julie Chen herself is rooting for one houseguest to win. Who could it be?

Head of Household comp updates

Following Victor Arroyo and Corey Brooks' eviction from the BB18 house, the wheels for the last HoH were immediately set in motion. While HoHs have always been an important advantage for BB18 houseguests, the final HoH is even more so, because whoever wins it would get the sole eviction vote for this week.

The final BB18 HoH is divided into three rounds. Round One had gone to Paul, while the second round went to Nicole. The two will be facing each other in Round 3 - and uncomfortably so, because the two had previously agreed to take each other to Final Two. Nicole had previously said it would be "crazy" to take Paul to F2, and Corey had advised her to take James instead, because he's a weak competitor and always throws games.

Beyond that, Nicole had always come to James' defense, even lobbying to evict his BB18 showmance half, Natalie Negrotti, over him. This unlikely tandem became even more suspect when a heckler screamed across the BB18 backyard that Nicole and James were in a pre-show alliance. If that is to be believed, then Paul is in grave danger of getting evicted.

His only hope? Win the final HoH and evict Nicole instead. Competing with James for the BB18 grand prize would be a no-brainer, since the guy has done nothing but pine away for Natalie ever since she left. Paul and Nicole had even discussed James' habit of throwing games, and accused him of making a mockery out of those who try very hard to stay in the house. If James keeps with his putz attitude, BB18 will be good as his.

Julie Chen

It comes as no surprise, therefore, that even "Big Brother 18" host Julie Chen threw her lot in with Paul. She commended him for playing the game very well, and admitted that she was disappointed with James' and Nicole's performance this season. She said James cost himself the game when he evicted Victor over Corey, while Nicole's "snake" attitude and her unwavering, if questionable, loyalty to only Corey put her off.

But even with mere days left, a lot of things can still change in the "Big Brother 18" house. Votes and alliances could swing and break, and houseguests can never simply claim a victory simply by relying on their track records. It's safe to say that Paul, Nicole, and James are all still on equal footing to win the BB18 grand prize. We'll find out soon as the finale airs on Sept. 21.
