Bigfoot Hunter, Rick Dyer, Claims to Have Killed Beast and is Planning North American Tour (VIDEO)

A self-proclaimed Bigfoot hunter claims to have killed the elusive beast and will soon embark on a North American tour to show off his catch.

Rick Dyer earned national attention in 2012 after claiming he shot and killed Bigfoot in San Antonio. To prove so he filmed a documentary Shooting Bigfoot, where he described how he was able to track and kill Bigfoot.

However, at the time the film's investors fought in court to prevent Dyer from obtaining sole possession of the alleged creature's body and was only awarded custody of the body recently.

"I have been worried for so long. I have been put off for so long, and finally we went up to Washington (state) and we got the body," Dyer told San Antonio station KSAT.

The documentary was a bust and failed to convince skeptics, but Dyer is set on proving that Bigfoot is real. Dyer was also able to recently release pictures of the creature once the court ordered them back into his possession.

"Bigfoot is 100 percent real -- there's no question about that," Dyer added.. "Every test that you can possibly imagine was performed on this body — from DNA tests to 3D optical scans to body scans. It is the real deal. It's Bigfoot and Bigfoot's here, and I shot it and now I'm proving it to the world."

Since reclaiming the body, Dyer has been letting a select group of people see the creature in person while he records their reactions.

"We wanted to get people's reactions, make them believers, and we did it to over a 130 people," Dyer said. "We definitely made them believers."

Dyer is planning to tour with the body throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico hoping to prove skeptics wrong.

"Bigfoot is not a tooth fairy — Bigfoot is real," Dyer told KSAT. "The most important thing to me is being vindicated, letting people know that I am the best Bigfoot tracker in the world and it's not just me saying it."
